ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION
On Sunday, April 5, 2020, all or part of some roads will be affected by runners partaking in the Silicon Valley Half Marathon and 10K Run. Proceeds from the event support the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. To help you identify the impact timeline in your neighborhood we have included: the course map, special instructions for certain areas, full road closure timeline with all the details on each street will close and reopen. Want some help navigating around the road closures? Google Maps and Waze both have our race maps uploaded and will direct you around the road closures during the event.
SPECIAL NEIGHBORHOOD INSTRUCTIONS
Villa Torino Apartment Garage: An exit lane will be in operation during event hours. Please exit the parking garage and head east on Bassett St. You will be directed to turn south on 1st St and continue to Devine St (a special lane for southbound vehicles will be created on 1st St). Turn east on Devine St towards 2nd St. Vehicles will be able to exit southbound on 2nd St.
Fairmont Hotel on Market St: Access to the hotel will be available for the duration of the event through a special access lane on Market St from the south end of Plaza de Cesar Chavez. Please enter Market St by traveling westbound on San Carlos St and turning right (north) on Market St. Police will guide you into the special access lane. Exit east on San Fernando St.
San Jose Market Center on Coleman Ave: Access to and from the Market Center will be available for the duration of the event. Access to the Market Center is available from the north side by traveling southbound on Coleman. Please note that Taylor St and Hedding St between San Pedro St and Coleman Ave will be closed. Use Interstate 880 or Airport Blvd if coming from the east. Vehicles exiting the Market Center will be directed to turn right (south) on Autumn Pkwy to Julian St.
Residents/Businesses/Churches south of University Ave between The Alameda and Dana St: Access to and from the neighborhoods south of University Ave is available on through the south side from Park Ave via San Carlos, Meridian Ave, or Race St. Residents coming from the north are advised to use Bascom Ave to San Carlos Ave. From there, vehicles can turn north on Meridian Ave or Race St to Park Ave. Vehicles can also use Highway 87 and exit on Park Ave.
